The Interspecies Database is part of the 3Rs Database Programme, together with www.humane-endpoints.info and fcs-free.org. These websites will help you with the refinement and replacement of animal experiments, respectively.

International Mouse Strain Resource (IMSR)

The IMSR is a searchable online database of mouse strains, stocks, and mutant ES cell lines available worldwide, including inbred, mutant, and genetically engineered strains. The goal of the IMSR is to assist the international scientific community in locating and obtaining mouse resources for research. Note that the data content found in the IMSR is as supplied by strain repository holders.

For each strain or cell line listed in the IMSR, users can obtain information about:

INFRAFRONTIER is the European Research Infrastructure for the generation, phenotyping, archiving and distribution of model mammalian genomes. The INFRAFRONTIER Research Infrastructure provides access to first-class tools and data for biomedical research, and thereby contributes to improving the understanding of gene function in human health and disease using the mouse model.

The core services of INFRAFRONTIER comprise the systemic phenotyping of mouse mutants in the participating mouse clinics, and the archiving and distribution of mouse mutant lines by the European Mouse Mutant Archive (EMMA). In addition, INFRAFRONTIER provides specialised services such as the generation of germ-free mice (axenic service) and training in state of the art cryopreservation and phenotyping technologies.

The ALURES Statistical EU Database offers free access to all interested in obtaining more information on animal use in the EU. Currently ALURES allows for datamining at EU level. National data are published annually by the Member States. From 2023, national data will also be accessible through ALURES.

The website consists of approx. 10,000 pages and currently has approx. 300,000 page visits a year.
Norecopa maintains an International Meetings Calendar and a Newsfeed, and issues an electronic newsletter 7-8 times a year.
Norecopa has produced the PREPARE guidelines for planning animal research and testing.
Norecopa frequently arranges meetings about the use of animals in research, to advance the 3 Rs.

DB-ALM dataset is a publicly accessible collection of alternative method summaries and protocols. DB-ALM focuses primarily on methods submitted to EURL ECVAM for validation, and those identified in ad hoc reviews of the literature and end-users in specific application areas between 2000 and 2019.

All method summaries and protocols can be searched in an intuitive web interface and then retrieved individually, but they can also be downloaded completely for flexible perusal on a local PC. Search criteria include topic areas, biological endpoints, experimental systems, and others.
